Insane Iowa Car-Deer Collision Puts a Buck in the Back Seat

This car's driver walked away with minor injuries!

Hitting a deer with your vehicle is always a scary thing. But some car-deer collisions are more terrifying than others.

At least we're certain that's the case with a woman who struck a buck with her Chevy Impala last Friday in Bremer County, Iowa. In a press release on Facebook, the Bremer County Sheriff's Office reports the accident happened north of Waverly on V14.

There were actually two vehicles involved in the accident, the second being a Chevy Equinox. But, it appears the Impala got the brunt of it in these absolutely amazing photos.

Fortunately, there is good news for the humans involved in this incident.

"The driver of the impala, Ashley Ellis of Sumner, did suffer minor injuries and was transported to the Waverly Health Center," the press release states. "The driver of the Equinox, Karli Kilcher of Fredericksburg, was uninjured."

It's pretty safe to say both drivers are extremely lucky.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing becomes more and more common the farther we get into fall and the rut. Law enforcement in some areas are making sure to remind the public to be extra cautious when driving, especially around dusk and just after dark.
