How to Euro-Mount a Wild Hog

Here's an easy step-by-step method to show off your hog kill with a classic European mount.

European mounts are neat. They look really nice when correctly bleached to a pearly white. You can find a lot of information out there on how to Euro-mount deer skulls and other animals, but you rarely will find one for a wild hog.

Tons of hogs are killed everyday, as their problematic population growth has led to an increase in hunters. With only certain states having them in the South, many out-of-staters are paying money to come hunt them.

For Texans or other southern state citizens, they're a nuisance, so killing 20 hogs in a day isn't out of the norm. But, for someone who doesn't get to hunt them often, that hog is a trophy! So of course you want to have a piece to remember the hunt by. The European mount is a perfect way to do just that.

This video outlines how to make a European hog mount from start to finish.

So if you're on a budget and just shot a wild hog you'd like to preserve, I highly recommend using this video as an instruction manual.

A clean, white skull and a European mount to enjoy your harvest is something you won't regret.
