Can Completely Hollow Shotgun Slugs Actually Shoot Well?

How will a totally hollow shotgun slug perform?

Hollow point bullets are extremely popular and known for the damage they can inflict to a target as the bullet expands upon entering the target.

So it was probably only a matter of time before someone completely hollowed out a shotgun shell to see if it can deliver a similar type of performance.

Interesting. Even though these shotgun slugs perform considerably better than the "Rocket Pod" slugs Youtube user TAOFLEDERMAUS also tested out recently, these things still drift a bit too much for my tastes.

Perhaps that was just the slightly inaccurate drilling of the holes however. I'd definitely be more interested in seeing some more precision-made versions of these.

Wild accuracy aside, the penetrating power demonstrated on the ballistics gel at the end is pretty good too. This may not be too bad of an idea for shotgun slug makers to look at and hone into something more refined.
