Honda Ridgeline Recalled for Defective Front Seats

The compact Honda Ridgeline pickup truck and Pivot SUV are now the subject of a recall, affecting roughly 5,000 vehicles due to poorly manufactured power front driver and passenger seats

The issue is due with defective rivets connecting its side rails to forward seat feet that could be displaced in the event of heavy impact.

As a result, Honda has offered to inspect and replace the driver and front passenger seat slide rail frames free of charge, with notifications starting on May 18. No injuries or deaths have been reported to date.

To learn if your Ridgeline is affected, visit the NHTSA website and enter your VIN number or call 888.234.2138.
