Here's the New World Record for the Longest Channel Catfish

This could be the new record for longest channel catfish!

Where's the next record going to be caught? Tactical Bassin was along for the ride as their good friend Sean Moffett hooked this potential all-tackle IGFA world record for longest channel catfish on Clear Lake.

Check it  out!

The giant channel cat measured an amazing 83 centimeters (on its inside dimension) and will topple the existing record of 80 centimeters if all goes well with the IGFA Record Application. It was 29.1 pounds total weight.

The most incredible part about this giant catfish is that Sean wasn't even fishing for it! He was bass fishing when the giant kitty cat bit his Keitech Worm. He was only equipped with 10 lb line and the monster fish was in shallow grass.

He was in for the battle of his life, but it only lasted nearly 10 minutes!
