Henry Celebrates 25th Anniversary With .22 and .44-40 WCF Limited Editions

Henry Repeating Arms is celebrating 25 years of making classic American lever-actions the only way they know how. The firearm maker is releasing two special edition rifles in .22 long rifle and .44-40 WCF, and both are real lookers.

"In the gun-making business, twenty-five years makes us a new kid on the block, but I am endlessly proud of how far we have come," Henry Repeating Arms Founder and CEO Anthony Imperato said in a press release. "These new rifles are not only a toast to what we do best, which is building guns, but it's a toast to every single one of our employees and customers that have made Henry Repeating Arms a part of their lives and keeps us striving for our very best day in and day out."

Starting with the new .22lr, this gorgeous rifle has an 18.5-inch round steel barrel with a 1:16 rate of twist. It has a rear adjustable and hooded blade front sight. Because it's a rimfire, it comes in at a compact 36.6 inches overall length and weighs just 5.25 pounds. The major selling point of these rifles is likely to be the gorgeous anniversary logos on the nickel-plated receiver. Henry is including a Henry 25th Anniversary logo on the right side that's surrounded by a 24k gold-plate border. The left side features another center logo, but this time in "XXV" numerals, also bordered by a gold rope border. Add in American walnut on the stock and forend, and you've got one beautiful little rifle.

This .22 rifle has a capacity of 15 rounds and there's a 1/4-cock safety system. Henry is limiting these rifles to just 5,000 pieces. Since they are being produced for such a special occasion, they will have unique serial numbers to help identify them. Henry says these numbers will run from 001HENRY25 to 5000HENRY25. We're guessing the higher and lower ends of those numbers are likely to be worth the most to collectors in the future. Henry has the MSRP set at $1,130.

The other new rifle is the Original Henry Deluxe Engraved 25th Anniversary Edition. This is the same rifle as Benjamin Tyler Henry's original 1860 design, and is just as striking as the rimfire. The rosewood stock and polished brass receiver, which has been engraved with intricate scrollwork for a classic western finish, look exceptional. This rifle also includes the 25th Anniversary Henry logo on the right side and a "XXV" on the left side.

This rifle has a classic blued steel octagon barrel that is 24.5-inches long with a 1:36 twist rate. It comes in at about nine pounds and has a capacity of 13 rounds. Another instantly iconic feature is a folding ladder rear sight to compliment the simple blade on the front. Finally, Henry included a brass buttplate for a little extra flair.

With the Original Henry Deluxe Engraved, they are limiting the numbers even more. Only 2,500 are set to be produced. Just like the rimfire, they will have unique serial numbers ranging from 25HENRY0001 to 25HENRY2500. The MSRP is a hefty $3,990.00, which is not surprising for a collector's item like this one.

See the Henry Repeating Arms website for more information on these rifles and the other guns in Henry's lineup.
