GLOCK Debuts the G43X and G48 Handguns

Check out the newest from GLOCK: the G43X and G48 handguns, both 9mms catered for concealed carry.

Two slimline pistols have made their presence known prior to the firearm industry's biggest event, the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show later this month. GLOCK has unveiled the G43X and G48, build for concealed carry and designed with some advanced features.

Both guns have 10-round magazines, and they're priced the same as the G43.

The compact frame still has a fuller size grip length with a minimal profile of approximately 1 inch. That makes for "a comfortably balanced, versatile grip that's perfect for a variety of users," GLOCK says.

Most noticeable is the step away from GLOCK's typical black-on-black look with the silver slide. It's coated in nPVD, the same that's used in the G19x. It's said to prevent corrosion, resist chemicals, and defend against the elements.

The frames of each gun are the same size, but it's the slide length that sets them apart. The G43X has a slide length of 154 mm vs. the G48 at 174mm.

The 9x19 chambering and ease of concealability line these pistols up for carry popularity, and the fact that they come with front serrations, a built-in beavertail, reversible magazine catch, and a match-grade GLOCK Marksman Barrel just add to the benefits.
