Free Fly Apparel Should Be on Your List of Fishing Clothing Worth Owning

Free Fly is where it's at when it comes to apparel to wear when out on the water.

Very recently I picked up my first piece of clothing from Free Fly. You may have seen them around on Instagram and Facebook like me, but I didn't pull the trigger until a recent doctor's appointment. I've pretty much been told that I should never be outside again without full sun protection from head to toe. Considering I own a fly rod company, I fish a lot. Unfortunately, my skin has also paid the price for it. When I saw Free Fly had a light hooded bamboo shirt, I had to have it.

It seems every hooded t-shirt is too hot to wear while pursuing fish in high temperatures. Thankfully, the bamboo that is used to create these shirts make them super soft, super UPF resistant, and highly functional to wear. I also loved the fact that the sleeves have thumb holes to not only protect the back of your hand, but also keep the sleeve from riding up.

Free Fly also makes women's styles as well. Just ask my wife what she thinks about the full fleece zip up. She hasn't taken it off since it came in the mail. As a matter of fact, she wore it as her base layer on a recent trip out to Colorado.

I can see myself picking up several more styles of what Free Fly makes. Their presence on the social media side of things is growing and it's for good reason. The clothes they make are top notch and designed by fishermen, for fisherman. A lot of companies say they do things like that, but when you put on piece of Free Fly apparel, you know it.
