Free Fly and FITS Sock Launch, Ideal for the Outdoors

These might just be the perfect socks for your outdoor adventures this fall.

Free Fly Apparel, a Charleston, South Carolina-based outerwear clothing company has been steadily gaining steam the last several years for the fishing apparel.

You might already know Free Fly for their breathable short sleeve and long sleeve bamboo performance shirts.

They've quickly become best-sellers with fly fishing enthusiasts across the United States.

The company has slowly expanded to include things like a pullover hoody, shorts and even boxers. Now they're collaborating with Fits Socks, another Charleston-based company to expand into socks. They're doing a limited release called the Free Fly X Fits Performance sock.

These socks are made up of 65-percent merino wool. If you're not familiar with merino, it's a quality moisture-wicking type of wool that comes from a specialized breed of sheep. It's often considered one of the warmest types of wool out there. As a bonus, it also has some odor-absorbing qualities to it.

The rest of these fly socks are made up of 27-percent nylon, 6-percent poly and 2-percent lycra. Fit Socks has become known in recent years for their comfortable, specialized socks that are tailor-made to specialties like hiking, running or skiing.

One of the signature features of their socks has been cushioning within them. With the Free Fly X Fits Performance sock, they're adding this cushioning in the areas where you need it most, the toes, arch and heel. Perfect for a long fall hike or day wandering the banks of a stream, fly rod in hand.

These socks are made in the USA and are available through the Free Fly Apparel website. This is a limited release, so act now before they're gone!
