Former Major League Baseball Player Hammers 190-inch, Drop-Tine Buck With Heart Shot

Adam LaRoche center punches a giant in the heart on this classic November hunt.

Whew, big bucks get us all fired up come November. A deer season only provides you with so many chances each fall. The way you perform in those chances is the difference between a great season and a tragic season. Adam LaRoche makes the best of this opportunity when he makes the picture-perfect shot on this giant whitetail.

By giant, we mean a 190-inch buck with a beautiful drop tine. This is the buck of a lifetime and a trophy for any hunter.

Adam gets the buck stopped broadside and he implodes the heart with a perfectly placed arrow. The blood that follows is incredible, looking like a water balloon full of red dye.

The track job is going to be short on this one!

All in all, this hunt unfolds and plays out just like we all dream it up in our minds. LaRoche goes on to tell the story and you can hear the raw emotion in his voice. They'd been after this buck hard, and could only describe him as a ghost.

Looks like they were in the right spot that morning! Shooters are still walking around as they're recording the post-shot interview! Pretty neat to see that buck in the background of the footage.

What a buck and what a great shot! Looks like Adam is enjoying his time away from Major League Baseball.
