1. More power

Ford F-150 Raptor

Ford equipped the new F-150 Raptor with its twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve, 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine. This bad boy delivers exceptional performance thanks to innovations such as port fuel and the direct injection system.

The result: the engine, paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission, generates an awe-inspiring 450-horsepower and 510 lb-ft. of torque. Most impressive is its 0 to 60 mph time of 5.1. seconds. This engine is more powerful than its previous 6.2L V8 engine offering, according to Ford.

2. Smooth as ice handling

Ford designed this truck to deliver smooth handling for both on and off-road adventures. To achieve this, Ford equipped its F-150 Raptor with 3.0" Fox Racing Shox with 14" of rear suspension and 13" of front suspension travel.

In addition, this technology provides versatile performance in that it permits variable damping rates depending on wheel motion.

That translates to responsive handling whether you're on your morning drive or off-roading.

3. Better efficiency

Normally when you buy a powerhouse you sacrifice fuel efficiency. However, the new Ford F-150 Raptor is its most efficient model yet with a highway efficiency of 18 mpg.

Big contributors to this are the new V6 engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission.

4. Modifications abound

An excellent illustration of the truck's amazing performance prowess comes in the form of the F-22 Raptor. Ford made this power machine for the Experimental Aircraft Association to put up for auction, benefiting youth aviation programs.

The highlights of this truck is its astounding 545-horsepower output, thanks to the intercooled 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine. Along with game-changing performance, the truck features a" fly" design.

You can see the design inspiration from the Lockheed F-22 Raptor fighter throughout this truck from its grille to tailgate. The roof-mounted lighting exudes capability while the upgraded brakes and suspension reinforce it.

While this model isn't available to the public, it illustrates just how versatile the Ford F-150 Raptor can be.
