Eberlestock Partners With 'Skull Bound TV'

The renowned pack company announced its recent partnership with Jana Waller, the host of "Skull Bound TV."

Based in Boise, Idaho, Eberlestock has offered backpacks and precision gear for hunting and tactical purposes for years. However, they just took a big step up in the hunting industry.

When former 1984 Biathlon Olympian and United States Air Force fighter pilot Glen Eberle founded Eberlestock in 1985, he looked to engineer the perfect rifle system for biathlon competitions. He reached his goal, making a light, durable pack. But, with a military background and a passion for backcountry Idaho hunting, an expansion into the hunting and tactical markets was inevitable.

"Eberlestock takes great pride in partnering with people who share similar values to our own," Director of Marketing Austin Legg said in a press release. "Jana Waller of Skull Bound TV exemplifies the things that we not only value but are passionate about: public lands conservation, ethical hunting and carrying on the passion of hunting to our future generations. We could not be more excited to work together and welcome Skull Bound TV to the Eberlestock family."

According to SWAT Magazine, various military and police units all over the world regularly use Eberlestock products. These deep military roots, as well as Eberle's personal military background, were especially appealing to Waller.

"We do a lot of work with veterans, both with fundraising and taking combat veterans hunting every year," she said. "I couldn't be more thrilled about working with a company like Eberlestock. Their reputation is impeccable and they engineer their products specifically for the backcountry hunter. Prior to using Eberlestock, I'd been working with a different pack company who is moving away from the western, backcountry hunter, which is where my passion lies. You can obviously get away with a lot less when you're simply walking into your back woods for a hunt. But when you depend on your pack in the mountains the way we do, to carry everything you need but also pack out big-game animals in a comfortable, efficient, safe way, then you need a well-engineered backpack system.

Additionally, the Sportsman Channel show's executive producer, Jim Kinsey, is a former U.S. Marine, as well as an experienced hunter. He says the first pack he ever bought back in the 1990s was an Eberlestock, which he's since passed down to his oldest son. He still swears by it, too, claiming it's still his favorite pack he's ever had.

"I'm so honored to be officially partnered with Eberlestock," he said. "It's a no-brainer."
