The 3 Best DEWALT Power Stations for Home, Work, Trucks, And More

The DEWALT Power Station is too convenient not to invest in.

Any outdoorsman knows that survival gear lists just get longer and longer each year. It's a bit of a headache to make sure you're in good hands in an emergency, but having survival products does give you peace of mind. Of course, food and clean drinking water should always be at the top of your list, but you should add a DEWALT portable power station to your emergency supply list as well.

The DEWALT Power Station is going to come in handy for power outages. These life-saving gadgets will cost you about $300 (sometimes more), but having a charged portable outlet on hand when you're without electricity will make your life easier in the case of an emergency.

DEWALT Portable Power Stations

1.DEWALT FLEXVOLT Power Station, Portable, Tool Only (DCB1800B)

Best for: Jobsite and kitchen appliances (Not phones)

  • 1800 Wattage (15 amps)
  • MAX current (120V/240V) 30 amps
  • Low battery light

This is Amazon's Choice for portable power stations. Please keep in mind that the battery and chargers are sold separately. The pricing will vary based on the seller as well.

DEWALT calls this power source "freedom of the cordless." The 4-port parallel battery charger allows for AC power anywhere you need. It's compatible with most corded tools and provides continuous power. DEWALT says it works as a multi-port charger for up to four DEWALT 20V MAX batteries when plugged in a wall outlet through an extension cord.

My favorite spec is that this is safe. There are no fumes or carbon monoxide emitted from the power station.

With a heavy-duty roll cage and integrated temperature control cooling fan, it's a great pick for jobsites with strict regulations. The power station weighs about 18 pounds, so carrying it on jobsites will be easy. Be sure to check out DEWALT's inventory of power tools. As for the run time, that depends too. However, many customers are sharing their experiences with the power station.

A customer left a five-star review and wrote, "My second test was to see how long it would run my 10yr old Fridge (25 cu ft). The Power Station kept the Fridge running 5 hrs/45 min. before shutting down. I'm very pleased with the performance and very happy with my purchase. Great accessory to have around for those temporary emergency power outages and for powering tools/equip out in the field!"

2. DEWALT DXAEJ14 Digital Portable Power Station Jump Starter: 1400 Peak/700 Instant Amps, 120 PSI Digital Air Compressor, 3.1A USB Ports, Battery Clamps

Best for: Car emergencies and charging phones

  • 120 PSI Digital Air Compressor
  • ?LED lights and LCD screen for working in the dark
  • One-year warranty included

The DEWALT DXAEJ14 jump starter and power station will help you out in the case of a roadside emergency. The device will test your alternator to make sure it's working properly. It'll give your vehicle jump-starting power with 1400 peak amps and 700 instant starter amps. (Perfect for cars, trucks, boats, RVs, ATVs, and more.) This is fantastic if you don't have another vehicle to help you out.

If there's an improper connection, the alarm will let you know. There's also an air compressor for tires. And YES, this is my top pick because there are built-in USB ports for charging your phones. No one wants a dead cell phone if your car is already giving you trouble!

3. 1800 Watt Portable Power Station and 20-Volt/60-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Battery Charger

Best for: Jobsites, camping, homes, & heavy-duty tools

This portable power station delivers 1800-Watt continuous and 3600 peak AC power when supplied with four DEWALT 20-Volt MAX batteries. The DEWALT DCB1800B emulates a 15 Amp residential circuit branch for delivering the feel of household AC power, making it a great pick for a household portable power station.

This station is best for jobsites, camping, and tailgating. The biggest complaint about this option is the lack of USB ports. I know— it is not the best option for phones, but I highly recommend investing in a portable phone charger, or going with option number two.

It's still an excellent choice for power outages at home or work. You should have no issues using it with a table saw!

A customer gave it five stars and wrote, "Great Product. I used this with 2 of the 2.0AH batteries and 2 of the 4.0 AH batteries. With a 2.0 as my weakest link I was able to power a 42" TV, a battery charger (about 1.5A) , and a laptop (about 1.5A 45w) continuously for 65 minutes prior to the batteries(the 2.0Ah) draining."

Here's another terrific customer review.

DEWALT's 20V/60V MAX portable power station is compatible with All 20V MAX, 60V MAX and 120V MAX Tools. (The FLEXVOLT batteries automatically switch voltage when you change tools.)
