The Remington Model 81 Special Police Rifle offered a detachable magazine for quick reloading. The extended 15-round magazine paired with .35-caliber projectiles would indeed be a formidable police rifle.

With hunting rifle's action, this gun had some changes that didn't go over so well. Not many were manufactured either, making this neat little rifle a rare historical weapon.

Here's a big thanks go out to Ian from Forgotten Weapons. He always finds the very best historical weapons to share and keeps firearms history alive.
