Canadian Finds Moose on Roof, and We're All a Little Confused

How did a moose end up on a roof?

It's sort of like the beginning of a Dr. Seuss book, but when Canadian Sandeep Pahal heard something strange above his car, he discovered quite the spectacle.

And of course, he did what anyone would do these days.

He pulled out his cell phone and started recording a moose on the roof of a carport.

The things you see in British Columbia, eh?

If someone sees a moose on the roof of the carport of their apartment building, that's going to make news anywhere. It's the sort of incident you'd expect from Canada, or maybe the Alaskan wilderness.

The thing is, we're really left hanging with the emptiness of this news report. We can't completely fault the reporters, they're likely working with what they've got, but a little more detail would have been great.

How did the moose get up there? What was it doing prior to getting up there? Was the moose walking and got spooked by something? How long did it stay up there?

"It was looking for a way to get down," said the reporter. Well, yeah, of course it was. Apparently the giant hoofed animal was already off the carport roof by the time authorities showed up.

What was their plan if it hadn't? One of those big parachutes that catches people caught in a fire in old black and white films?
