Can-Am and South Dakota Team Up to Build a Defender Max Limited into the Ultimate Upland Machine

The Can-Am Defender Max Limited Upland Hunting Machine is unlike any machine the company has made before.

The vaunted Can-Am off-road company is about to hit full-throttle in 2021 with its newly designed Ultimate Upland Game Vehicle built with the upland hunting enthusiast in mind.

This beast of a hunting machine has been outfitted with all the required accessories to spend a day at the game club or an afternoon hunting with friends to get you out in the field and back again safely and with all of your equipment intact.

Plus, Can-Am has orchestrated a collaboration with South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks for a unique opportunity for someone to win one of the new models.

Built on the Can-Am Defender Max Limited platform, this machine is equipped with an amazing array of accessories and other custom options built by Warnert Racing. Included in this system is a loadout rack, sliding drawer system (housed in the bed of the vehicle), a lift, oversized tires, and a custom colored vehicle wrap.

Gunner Kennels, KC HiLiTES, and a YETI cooler add the finishing touches along with a Linq tool and gun rack, adventure style roof rack, power tilt bed, blazing overhead audio system, and a 4,500-pound capacity winch.

Let's take a closer look at this machine.

This bad boy features the HD10 Rotax 976 cc V-twin engine and all the horsepower that it needs to get you there and back again on every adventure. The Defender Max UTV has a six-person carrying capacity and still has the power to tow 2,500 pounds with ease.

Not only that, but the fully enclosed cab features an auto heat and air conditioning climate system to keep everyone comfortable until the journey is over.

Other features include a 10-gallon fuel tank, a waterproof and removable box under passenger seat, a water-resistant and removable toolbox, a full 12 inches of ground clearance, front and rear dual 220 mm ventilated disc brakes, and Maxxis Bighorn 14-inch tires all the way around.

It does have a twin tube gas charged shock system and an arched external sway bar, but one of the best features is the Electronic Hill Descent Control with the included dynamic power steering feature.

The Cam-Am Defender Max will be featured in the field at R&R Pheasant Hunting in South Dakota. The best part: one Defender will be raffled off during next year's pheasant hunting season through South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks and all of the proceeds will go to support hunting habitat in South Dakota.

There are still a few details to work out, but this will be a great opportunity for one lucky hunter to walk away with one of these amazing vehicles and raise funds in support of upland hunting habitat in the Mount Rushmore State.

The habitat administration that will benefit from the Can-Am raffle is the venerable organization South Dakota Habitat Fund.

Ultimate Upland Hunting Machine
