Bull Elk Challenges Hunter to Come Down and Square Up

Has this big bull gone completely crazy?

It's hard to say for sure what's going on in this video, but it would seem this hunter somehow rubbed a massive bull elk the wrong way. And, in response, this bull rubbed anything and everything in the area before smacking its antlers against the bowhunter's selected tree.

While there are realistically a lot of reasons for a bull to act this way, it really just looks like it's lost its mind.

Take a look at the following clip and decide for yourself what caused this animal's behavior.

Watch the video below:

This guy's probably happy he set his climber up that high, isn't he? Typically when setting up a treestand, especially a climber, hunters aren't taking an aggressive bull or buck into account.

Additionally, I have to assume this guy didn't have a bull elk tag, because that thing is a monster! While it's probably a little unnerving to be on the receiving end of this kind of behavior, it sure would make life easy on an elk hunter.

You could probably make the argument this bull is a victim of EHD or simply riddled with the testosterone that comes with the annual rut, but there's no way to know for sure.

One thing we do know, however, is this clip is enough to get any bowhunter excited for the season to get rolling!

While some states are already moving right along, others are still patiently waiting for that first weekend in the woods.

So, here's to hoping someone with a proper tag gets an opportunity at a shot like this!
