Another Gun Myth Busted: Relaxing to Shoot Your Pistol

Here is another real world tactical shooting tip that refutes the old adage about relaxing to shoot your pistol.

Springfield Armory takes a quick minute with a world-class shooter to poke holes in another common shooting myth that has no application in a tactical environment.

This is a tip that is a total truism; there is no way you are going to be relaxed in a gunfight, so why would you train on the range like you would be?! Engagements are over in seconds, so you want to have a very firm grip and get your rounds on target quickly and accurately. When it is a pistol that is going to get you out of trouble, it already means you are at very close range, so present to the threat and beat the bad guy to the punch each and every time.
