This is most definitely not a sight you see every day. While most people are on board with living harmoniously with nature, I doubt they expect their encounters to be quite so close. Tourists staying at the A'Zambezi River Lodge in Zimbabwe, Africa got the surprise of a lifetime the other day. When a 13-foot crocodile sauntered into the hotel restaurant.

Tourists staying at the A'Zambezi River Lodge in Zimbabwe, Africa got a chance to get up close and personal with the wildlife. People Magazine shared some of the details surrounding the ordeal. According to the outlet, the 13-foot crocodile wandered into the hotel restaurant buffet counter and decided to help himself.
Unfortunately for the croc, the Amulonga Restaurant was closed during the time of his visit. However, that did little to deter him. Video footage of the encounter shows the creature hauling its massive body up onto the countertop. He appeared to sit there and wait patiently for someone to come and take his order.
In their Facebook post, the hotel joked, "He was checking why room service was running late. No rules. No invitation. No reservation." Additionally, they clarified that, "This is the Zambezi — where wild means wild."
Mixed Reactions To This Uninvited Guest
Naturally, those who saw the wild animal were shocked. Additionally, some expressed safety concerns over the crocodile's easy access to the restaurant. Tourist John Richards spoke to The Times about the incident, sharing details on the crocodile's adventures. Apparently, after he tried to raid the kitchens, he "went to an armchair and lay on it." From there, he "sauntered out to the decking where all the tables are and with no grub on the menu settled down in a water feature out front where it seemed happy."
Fortunately, no one was around at the time, meaning the crocodile and tourists were safe from one another. People Magazine shared that "Rangers from the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority came to take the crocodile back to the river." They successfully managed to safely release their surprise guest back into the wild.
