SNL alum Jim Breuer is slamming an airline after claiming he was kicked out of first class moments before a flight. The comedian is calling out American Airlines.
According to Breuer, American Airlines downgraded him and his wife from first class to economy right before the flight. The two bought first class tickets to visit their daughter in Honolulu from Florida.
In a YouTube video, he says the return flight became a nightmare. He said the airline brought on airline pilots who were not scheduled to fly. According to the SNL alum, the airline offered him a $500 voucher and a $400 refund. But it didn't stop him from being angry and venting about it online.
'SNL' Alum Calls Out Airline
"This is foul because the way I see it, you stole from me. You stole my ticket, you stole my money," he said. "An American Airlines employee stole from me. So, this shows me you can book any ticket on American Airlines, and they have no problem putting one of their employees in your seat and then lie to your face and say it was overbooked and offer absolutely nothing."
He compared it to having his wallet stolen. The SNL comedian said that he reached out several times afterwards, but he could never get a human on the phone.
"I need a human being to call me and go, 'hey man, how can we make this up to you,'" he said.
Viewers seemed to agree with the SNL comedian on the state of the airline industry.
"I've flown 1.5 million miles on American Airlines and they've generally treated me like garbage. Loyalty is a one way street with American Airlines. Very sad," one user shared
