800 Teens Throw Wild Rager in $4.8 Million Mansion Rented on Airbnb: Things Take Turn For Worst

More than 800 teens reportedly booked an Airbnb mansion, worth $4.8 million, under false pretenses. They then threw a rager in the lavish home, wrecking it.

Airbnb renter Kishore Karlapudi has some extreme seller's remorse. He said that the teens swindled him and threw a large party at the Texas mansion.

"Somebody booked it, saying they needed the property for a party of seven people," owner Kishore Karlapudi told KDFW. They proceeded to destroy furniture and create a makeshift dance floor.

"We were totally shocked, and they damaged the property, you know. They took all the furniture out from the living space. And they put it in the garage, he said. "They took all the wall fixtures. Everything out. They broke the wall fixture. They broke, the island was broken. The granite countertop was broken because it looks like kids danced on those."

Things quickly got out of control when more than 800 people showed up at the mansion. Some weren't even locals. Cue a brawl, and gunshots fired, and the police got involved.

Mansion Party

"This incident multiplied in numbers due to a social media post advertising a party, which attracted between 500-800 teens and young adults to the location," Celina Police Chief John Cullison said in a statement Sunday.

Fortunately, no one was injured. But things could have been worse.

"We had shots fired — we had assaults — we had people threatening to kill people. We have bloody sheets on location. All these things are just an incredibly bad mixture that can end up in your child getting hurt," Cullison told KDFW.

The party also attracted people from all over. The police chief said parties like at the mansion are extremely unsafe.

"Scenes like these highlight the very real risks and dangers associated with large, unsupervised gatherings, especially when fueled through social media and potentially involving underage alcohol or substance abuse," he said in his statement.

"As both your Chief of Police and a parent, I strongly encourage parents in our community to use this incident as a catalyst for having open and direct conversations with their sons and daughters about personal responsibility, wise decision making, and the dangers that can quickly intensify in such environments."
