A recall by Fiat-Chrysler has been issued for approximately 443,000 RAM pickup trucks
Models built between 2013 and 2017 apparently have defective water pumps that are susceptible to overheating and catching fire.
According to USA Today, the RAM recall affects the RAM 2500 and 3500 as well as the 4500, and 5500 chassis cabs with 6.7-liter engines. Malfunctions have been shown to display a warning light, which is an indicator to take it to the dealership. No fires or injuries have yet to be reported as a result of the bug.
This latest RAM recall continues a disturbing trend with Fiat and ongoing safety issues. In May 2017, Fiat recalled 1.3 million trucks due to a software issue that prevented side airbags and seat belts from working properly in the event of a rollover accident.
