A 12-year-old boy is opening up about surviving a grisly shark attack in the Bahamas. Parker Roll had been on vacation with his family when he was attacked
Roll appeared on Good Morning America to discuss the attack. He said, "I just thought I was gonna die." The 12-year-old explained that he "didn't really feel [the bite] at first, because there's just so much adrenaline."
"I remember looking down, and I just see [the shark's] head, and this head's well over a foot wide," he continued.
The incident happened on June 23 in Staniel Cay. Roll had been with his family on a boat trip. They traveled to an isolated beach to swim at. But that's when the family first saw the shark
Roll's brother Jack explained, "I see this, what looks like a rock. I was like, 'Oh. It's a rock.' And then I see it comes closer to me. I was like, 'Oh, it's a nurse shark, oh, it's a really big nurse shark.' "

"I immediately took off my swimsuit, because I was like, 'Oh, we have to stop that bleeding,' " Jack said.
Meanwhile, Parker was struggling to deal with the pain.
"[It] felt like a knife was stabbed into my calf and then twisted," he said.
"I definitely consider myself very lucky, as that shark could've easily taken my leg off," he said. He also praised his brother for helping to stop the bleeding.
