This poor bass is completely blind.
In case you're not familiar with the Fish Whisperer on Youtube, he makes some pretty cool fishing videos. And sometimes, he feeds largemouth bass by hand. And it's awesome. No really, he does!
And interestingly enough, in his latest video, he introduces us to a bass that appears to be completely blind. It is both sad and fascinating at the same time.
I can never get over these feeding videos he posts. Blind bass aside, those are some nice-sized fish! I'll admit a little skepticism at first. I wasn't too sure the one bass actually was blind until he dangled the shad on either side of her head and she didn't react until he basically dropped it on her nose.
The fish being blind is a sad testament to how cruel nature can be sometimes. Fortunate for this big old gal, The Fish Whisperer is there to keep her fat and happy!
