This guy deserves to have the book thrown at him.

Acting on a tip, the Chisago County Sherriff’s office paid a visit to the frozen surface of Green Lake in order to investigate a man who was believed to be drunk in an SUV with his children on board. But it was at the moment a deputy approached the vehicle that things became really interesting.

We’ve all seen high-speed road chases before. Well here’s a new one: high-speed ice pursuits, although speed was much less of a factor. Police chased after this bozo after he refused to exit his vehicle, following him across the ice in what can only be described as surreal for the anglers watching in amazement.

Here’s footage of the chase:

According to reports, the man stopped after driving off the lake, however, he refused to get out of the vehicle. Police arrested him for DWI and fleeing in a motor vehicle.

Dad of the Year Award right there. Glad to hear the kids are safe.
