This is a great learning tool, and one that you will no doubt watch repeatedly simply because it's so well done.
The video is intended to be both instructional and educational, and succeeds on both counts.
The author does make it clear, however, that the handgun features several safety mechanisms that were not addressed in the animation.
The gun in this video is based on the Springfield Armory XDM 45 Compact, but this applies to basically any semi-automatic handgun.
