Who Knew Blue Wildebeest Were This Tough?

These lionesses in Kruger Park got a whole lot more than they bargained for when they decided to tangle with this incredibly tough blue wildebeest.

Yes, lions are indeed Africa's top predator. However, blue wildebeest are among the toughest antelope species in Africa. This video showing a fight between a couple of lionesses and one really tough blue wildebeest is Africa's version of the unstoppable force meeting the immoveable object.

The way it all ends might even surprise you.

As you can see, there's a reason why blue wildebeest are nicknamed the "poor man's buffalo."

As strong as they are, blue wildebeest still need to be very careful when they're within kicking range of a zebra, though.
