Shore fishing is one of the most tried-and-true ways to get a rod and reel into someone's hands, and shark fishing is one of the reasons it's so popular.

As saltwater anglers already know, putting a shark on the beach is just the beginning of the adventure.

Here's one guy who just found out why:

Its amazing to see just how quick those suckers really are! It looked as though he was ready for anything. He held the leader and had a pair of needle-nose pliers at the ready, but that shark still got him just enough to send a message.

Here's to hoping the fisherman still got the hook out in short order and safely returned the shark back to the water.
