Fisherman Hooks and Lands a 17-Pound Bass

Everyone dreams of catching an inconceivably big bass at some point in their lives, but very few ever actually get the chance to do it. Today, however, we're lucky in having the chance to see someone experience this rare occurrence for themselves, reeling in what's easily the largest bass of his life. If you've wondered what it's like to catch a 17-pound largemouth bass on a rod and reel, wonder no more, as his guy does just that and thankfully caught the whole thing on camera from first strike and to the landing. This is nothing short of a fishing dream come true!

Watch the video below to see what he claims is the biggest bass ever documented on video from cast until catch. It's hard to know for certain, but it definitely seems plausible based on just how big this fish really is.

There's no shame in admitting to your jealousy after seeing someone else achieve something like this. It's just one of those moments an angler will never forget, and unlike a lot of fishing tall tales, he has the video footage to prove it to any doubters out there. It's simply unreal how that bass just inhaled a 10-inch bait like it was a lowly minnow.

Those bigger swimbaits are becoming more and more popular for their ability to catch bigger fish in prime waters. However, be sure to do your research beforehand, because if you're targeting big fish in a lake with only smaller fish, there's a good chance you're going to be doin a lot of casting for little to no reward.

Most anglers will never see a 10-pound bass, let alone a 17-pounder! Congrats to this lucky angler!
