Video: Florida Woman Stumbles Upon a Massive Rattlesnake Slithering Around

Be careful where you step when touring through Jacksonville.

Lindsey Nilsen had an unforgettable experience March 26 when she came face-to-face with a giant eastern diamondback rattlesnake estimated to measure six feet in length.

Known for being the most dangerous venomous snake in North America, this is one potent reptile you don't want to get too close to.

Nilsen spotted the snake slithering slowly through the grass by Branan Field and the Argyle Forest exit. Fortunately, her and her companion were safely inside a vehicle at the time.

It's rare to find an eastern diamondback rattlesnake exceeding 7 feet in length. So, this encounter with a 6-footer is eye-opening to say the least.

You better slip on a pair of snake boots if you plan on visiting Jacksonville's grassy areas anytime soon.
