Everyone has gone fishing and caught something unexpected. But it seems a lot of these accidental catches happen while chasing catfish.

YouTuber apbassing decided to go outside his comfort zone and give catfishing a try. But instead, he caught something else totally unexpected--a big softshell turtle!

What is it with all these YouTube fishing guys and the unexpected catches lately? Jiggin' with Jordan caught a snake last month, and before that the Fish Whisperer hooked into a 7-foot alligator!

Coincidentally, the alligator incident also happened while catfishing.

I've hooked into snapping turtles a few times here in Michigan while fishing, but the things always broke my line before I could land them. What's the strangest thing you've unexpectedly hooked while fishing?
