TINCUP Whiskey Debuts New Fourteener Bourbon Set to Help Preserve and Restore Mountain Trails

Colorado whiskey makers TINCUP have reveled a brand new bourbon, their oldest to date, that honors and supports the adventures that take place above 14,000 feet in their home state. TINCUP Fourteener Bourbon Whiskey is a 14-year aged, limited edition release that will only be available while supplies last.

We were lucky enough to get the exclusive scoop on this unique whiskey during an online tasting event, and can vouch for not only the quality, but the meaningful connection to Colorado's iconic 14er mountains. Along with the release, TINCUP is donating $14,000 to the Colorado Fourteener Initiative (CFI), and the funds will be part of CFI's "Adopt-a-Peak" Program which helps preserve and restore Colorado trails, giving hikers and outdoor lovers the opportunity to continue these adventures well in the future.

The care package that arrived prior to the tasting event featured all the items in the above photo, including a sample of the new Fourteener Bourbon, samples of the original TINCUP Mountain Whiskey and TINCUP Straight Rye, an awesome tasting glass with an indentation of the Rocky Mountains on the bottom, and a vial of award-winning Eldorado Springs water, which TINCUP used to cut the Fourteener to proof. While trying it for the first time, the Fourteener's rich, smooth flavors held notes of caramel, fruity apricot, and a medium-long finish with candied vanilla. It's a bourbon-lover's ideal U.S.-made whiskey, in our opinion.

"I'm so excited for TINCUP fans to try this new aged bourbon whiskey," said Jess Graber, founder of TINCUP Whiskey. "Not only does Fourteener's name pay homage to the rugged peaks that dot its home state of Colorado, it truly embodies our spirit of adventure. If you've ever been on the top of a 14er, you know it's truly something to celebrate."
