This Awesome Video Will Make You Want to Join Delta Force

Caution: Watching this testosterone-filled recruiting video will probably make you want to join the Army's elite Delta Force.

This is one of the very few (if not the only) official Army video featuring actual members of the Army's super secret Delta Force. Developed as the country's elite counter-terrorist unit in the late 1970s, the Army did not even officially acknowledge the existence of the first Special Forces Operations Detachment Delta, better known as Delta Force, until the 1990s. To this day, detailed information on the unit is very sketchy.

Produced in the mid-2000s, the video is a little old. However, it's got an adrenaline-pumping soundtrack courtesy of AC/DC and Motley Crue, and showcases members of Delta Force conducting some awesome live fire training in the United States as well as actual operations in Iraq. Yes, those are actual explosives they are breaching the doors with.

Pay particular attention to the hostage rescue training scenario around the 2:15 mark. That is a real life member of Delta Force playing the "hostage" while his comrades clear the room and shoot the terrorist targets around him with live ammunition. That's what you call a serious trust-building exercise!

Watch the video for a small glimpse into the world of Delta Force:

Pretty awesome, right? Think you've got what it takes to hang with those guys?
