SportDOG Brand® Unveils 2 New Hunting Dog Training Tools

These new hunting dog training collars from SportDOG Brand® have upped the ante.

Picture this: A pair of hunting dogs are trekking through a vast prairie, and you're trying to decipher which way to go. Any number of things could happen, but you're concerned about getting a good, ethical shot at a pheasant, and shouldn't have to worry about your equipment.

But then, like it was written in Murphy's Law, something with your e-collar goes haywire. It could have been anything: Maybe a dog hopped in a stream, maybe it got out of range, or maybe your transmitter isn't sophisticated enough to keep track of multiple dogs.

You don't get a shot, let alone a glimpse of an upland bird, because you're preoccupied with your equipment.

It doesn't have to play out that way if you make a smart decision with your training and hunting collars. SportDOG hasn't waited around for better technology, they've applied it themselves to the brand new SportTrainer 875 and SportTrainer 1275.

First and foremost, both of these new collars can be used for training and hunting. They're long range (1/2 mile for the 875, and 3/4 mile for the 1275), plus they are waterproof and submersible up to 25 feet.

You can expand each to work with more than 1 dog by purchasing add-on collars, and use the clear OLED display screen to see which dog you've selected. Both units have 10 levels of static stimulation, as well as vibration and tone options to customize them for any specific dog.

The SportTrainer systems are best suited for hunting with multiple dogs because of the ease of use when switching between dogs on the transmitter. The collar receiver remembers the last stim level used for each dog, and automatically goes to that when the dog is chosen on the screen.

For example if dog 1 responds best to stim level 3, and dog 2 is at stim level 5, it will automatically switch to stim level 3 when dog 1 is selected.

The SportTrainer has long-life, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that fully charge in a mere two hours.

The team behind SportDOG cares about the outdoors, and keeping it enjoyable through conservation and community engagement. They put that passion into their dog products, and it's proven to be a good formula.
