Savage Rolls Out New 2019 Firearms, Highlighted By 125th Anniversary

Take a look at what Savage is revealing in their 2019 lineup of new firearms in their 125th anniversary year.

Savage released info on a ton of new 2019 guns, plus a few special editions in celebration of their 125h anniversary.

The highlights will be an engraved Model 110 collector's rifle, a limited-edition rimfire rifle and a limited-edition centerfire rifle, each marked with a special 125th anniversary seal. All told, there are 40 new firearms in a variety of gauges and calibers.

Savage's line of XP scoped rifles is enhanced with a new ergonomic stock. The Rascal Target XP, the industry's safest micro 22 LR, now comes with a scope, bipod, hardwood target stock, heavy barrel, Picatinny rail, and threaded muzzle.

Also new is the 110 Apex Hunter XP, which comes with a Vortex Crossfire II scope, adjustable AccuTrigger, thread-in headspacing, floating bolt head, and adjustable length-of-pull. This single gun is available in 17 calibers, including 6.5x284 Norma.

Turkey hunters have some interesting choices, with a new Stevens single-shot turkey gun designed for Federal's .410 HEAVYWEIGHT® TSS turkey loads. It's called the 301 Turkey and it's patterned in Mossy Oak Bottomland (you can opt for Obsession, but Bottomland looks too good to pass up). We got to see this gun up close during a recent Savage-hosted trip, and were more than impressed. It stands to be our favorite new small-stature turkey gun by far.

The other new turkey hunting gun is a unique bolt action available in 12 or 20 gauge, that's built around the Model 110 rifle action, with Savage's AccuStock, AccuFit and AccuTrigger. Known as the Savage 212 and 220, the guns have a detachable 2-round magazine and an oversized bolt knob.

Savage hasn't forgotten about their MSR 15 and MSR 10 lines, debuting new options built for long-range, precision and competition shooting. The Long Range 224 Valkyrie stands out, with a tuned barrel for peak accuracy. It has an adjustable muzzle brake, custom free-float handguard, and custom-length, low-profile gas block.

Long time fans of Savage will notice some differences in appearance for the AXIS and AXIS II rifles, which now have improved ergonomics plus thread-in headspacing, button rifling, and a floating bolt head. The AXIS II is available in 10 calibers, including 6.5 Creedmoor and 280 Ackley Improved.

All of these guns and other new offerings can be seen on SavageArms.com, but most have yet to begin shipping.

We can't think of a better way to celebrate 125 years than a bunch of cool new guns. Savage keeps presenting us with new choices, and they're doing their best to stay atop the industry in quality, quantity, and the drive to make sure "Better Comes Standard."
