Ready for a Shot of Pure Adrenaline?

Brace yourself. Seriously. You are NOT ready for this right now.

You weren't ready, were you?

Not gonna lie, this trailer looks AWESOME. Starring Jon Bernthal (no stranger to action himself, a veteran of the onscreen nail-biters "The Walking Dead" and "Fury"), "The Punisher" looks to be long on badass guns, action and gasps. Speaking of guns, I can't believe all the blasters I saw portrayed in just two minutes of cinematic insanity.

I had to work in some furious pausing to catch them all, but I caught a ton of appearances of all kinds of guns - handguns, shotguns, light machine guns, sniper rifles! My jaw dropped to the floor watching the sheer array of weaponry (I attempt to identify a handful of the models below).

I caught glimpses of at least 29 guns in this short teaser trailer.

How many did you see? It was difficult; sometimes there were several bad guys holding firearms in one shot. If you caught 20 or more, consider yourself a gun guy/gal of the highest accord.

BUT... can you identify them all? Here are a few noteworthy guns I was able to find:

0:36 seconds:

That is one bad-assed nasty short-barreled Remington 870. This little beast makes an appearance again at the 2:27 mark.

0:37 seconds:

That's a 1911 for sure! It could be any number of custom-bred numbers, but the low-profile snag free sights and skeletonized trigger bring a Kimber Warrior to mind. What do you think?

0:39 seconds:

This belt-fed beauty is seen again later in the trailer at 1:51, and it looks to me a like a M249 SAW. It also looks like it would be a hell of a lot of fun.

0:48 seconds:

The guy on the right clearly is not a modern, well-trained firearms enthusiast. Check out that inexcusable "teacup" hold... and the... Beretta M951 Brigadier? Seriously?! What kind of self-respecting bad guy would carry one of those? I figure he'd at LEAST got for a Beretta 92, right?

0:55 seconds:

It's a top view, but that blocky handgun Frank Castle is holding can only be one thing: A Glock. It looks compact-ish, so I'm going to go with Glock 19 or Glock 23.

1:45:

That wicked-looking black rifle that Frank Castle uses to pull a "two-in-the-LEGS (?)-one-in-the-head" maneuver looks an awful lot like a Heckler & Koch G36C to me.

What else did your little eyes spy? The bad guys seem to be using a mix of H&K MP5s and AR-15 variants, and 1911s definitely made more than one appearance. The producers definitely went out of their way to throw a splendid variety of firearms into the mix. I certainly applaud the diversity!

I don't know about you, but my appetite has been whetted. I'm anxious to see what other cool ordnance makes the screen in Netflix's new take on "The Punisher." Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch the trailer again. To, y'know, make sure I haven't missed anything...
