Deer Beats Up Oregon Teen During School Fire Drill

"I think I got hit in the face with a hoof."

It's been a while since we've had a crazy deer-attack story, and this one is particularly bizarre. An Oregon high school student is currently recovering from some seriously nasty facial injuries she suffered after getting run over by a deer during a fire drill at her school.

Josie Lemley, a student at Eagle Point High School in Oregon, didn't even know what hit her. Hear her tell her story to KDRV 12 News.

"I made it halfway out there and next thing I know I was on the ground. I never saw any deer," Lemley said.

It's now believed the deer may have gotten spooked by the school's fire alarm going off. The deer's attack actually knocked Lemley out for 30 seconds. The incident left her with a concussion and some nasty cuts, but thankfully no broken bones.

The school may now look into checking the perimeter before future fire drills to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

There was no word on what happened to the deer.

As we've seen in the past, deer can really do some serious damage to a human with relatively little effort. We here at Wide Open Spaces wish Lemley a speedy recovery from her injuries.
