Oregon State Police Looking for Leads on Poaching of Three Bald Eagles

Authorities need your help to find who poached these three eagles.

Yet another eagle poaching in Oregon has the State Police looking to the public for leads in the case.

Not one, but three dead adult bald eagles were found in the area of Tangent, Oregon, March 16 in an area just south of Albany. They believe the birds were killed shortly before that date. Troopers quickly identified gunshot wounds on all three birds and subsequent X-rays further proved it.

Bald eagles are still federally protected and poaching one can mean extreme fines for the person or persons responsible. In this case, authorities unfortunately have no leads yet.

Anyone with information on the person or persons responsible is asked to call the Oregon TIP hotline at 1-800-452-7888. Tips can also be submitted through email at [email protected].

Tipsters also have the option to remain anonymous if they wish.
