National Parks Service Swaps Taylor Swift with a Bison In Hilarious Wildlife Warning

Look what you made me do!

While a government organization's social media account may not be the first thing you scroll to when you're looking for laughs online, you may want to think twice when it comes to the National Park Service's Instagram. Known for its informative, hilarious posts that are often tongue-in-cheek and full of pop culture references, the NPS Instagram recently populated a fantastic park wildlife safety warning that, if you're a Swiftie, may look familiar: A Taylor Swift bison swap!

The caption is straightforward enough, telling readers that they can help keep themselves and others (including wildlife) safe by setting a good example. "Remembers to treat wildlife with proper caution and respect," the caption reads. "The best way to stay safe when watching wildlife is to give animals room to move."

But it's the images that accompany the post that really take the cake: The first is a black-and-white image of a bison with 'The National Parks Department" written in blocky text across it that looks suspiciously like Taylor Swift's upcoming album cover.

After the singer-songwriter and American icon accepted a Grammy for best pop vocal album on Sunday night, she announced that she is releasing a new album this spring. "My brand-new album comes out April 19. It's called 'The Tortured Poets Department.' I'm going to go and post the cover right now backstage," Swift announced.

How The NPS Swapped Taylor and a Bison

Taylor Swift's subsequent Instagram post showed a black and white album cover with a photograph of Swift's torso. The cover has 'The Tortured Poets Department" written across it. A second photo of hand-written lyrics accompanied the cover.

The National Parks Service took the lyrics and ran with them, writing their own version of wildlife safety, with a bonus bison bent.

"And so we encourage you to always be safe/ By giving animals space and room to move/ Otherwise your souvenir will be bruises/ Caught on video for all to see/ The ouch,/ ouch,/ ouch,/ of flying through the air./ Regrets of a vacation that stink."

In true Taylor Swift fashion, the NPS signed the lyrics, "Sincerely, Your insurance provider and The National Parks Department."

Whether you are a Taylor Swift fan or not, I think we can all agree that whoever is running the account and thought of this bison swap should probably get a raise.
