5 Different LED Headlamps That Won't Leave You in the Dark

If you prefer early morning or evening hunts, you'll need some help from an LED headlamp.

Depending on when you get to the stand, a rechargeable headlamp is basically a necessity. The best odds of success are earned by hunters who operate early in the predawn hours, and as late as possible as the sun sets.

Battery life tends to be a huge problem on tons of gear and electronics these days, so if you're out during the hours early in the morning and evening, that should be number one on your list. A water-resistant headlamp makes a great choice;that way, you aren't worrying about rain, dew, or a drop in a creek.

Really, headlamps are great for hunting, camping, fishing, and hiking. Some people even use them for their early morning runs! They come in handy for all outdoor activities. If you don't want to turn on a floodlight or use a flashlight, this is a great alternative.

1. LED Lenser MH10 Rechargeable Headlamp

If battery life and water-resistant are top specs for you, the LED Lenser should do the trick. It runs up to 120 hours on one charge. Once you go through the battery, just use the USB rechargeable cable.

This LED headlamp only needs six hours to charge! Pick a light mode to your liking. The beam distance is 150 meters, so you'll have a nice clear view.

2. Cabela's Alaskan Guide Series QUL Headlamp

This headlamp is priced right under $20. There's nearly 300 reviews with 4.6 out of 5 stars. It doesn't have a rechargeable cable, but it does come with three AAA batteries.

Since it's a customer favorite, it must be an ultra-bright light. The LED produces 78 lumens of light for 105 hours. It's also waterproof.

Comfort should always be something at the top of your checklist for head gear. Since the headband is adjustable, you'll be able to get it to a comfortable fit.

Black Diamond's Storm 375 headlamp stands out from the others since there's red, green, and blue night vision.

Black Diamond is a popular brand among LED headlamps. If lumens is what you're looking for in headlamp, this LED light provides 375 lumens. With it being waterproof and dust-proof, I would say this one would be the easiest to keep clean.

4. Cabela's Alaskan Guide XP Green Headlamp

Alaskan Guide's XP Green headlamp isn't in the same price range as the QUL, but there are several factors that went into this one that makes it a top notch headlamp.

It has four light output options and 550 lumens. I personally always hope the price reflects the amount of specs, and I would say this one does. With 4.6 out of 5 stars, it's surely a headlamp you'll have for years.

5. Streamlight Bandit Headlamp

You can cross off rechargeable and weather-resistant, because this one is both! Wear the elastic band around your head, or just use the removable hat clip.

It is impact-resistant and priced under $30. You definitely don't have to break the bank for a headlamp.
