There isn't much better than a venison sloppy joe.
When I was a kid, if there was one meal my mom made more than many others, it was the good old fashion sloppy joe. Now that I'm older and no longer a kid, the venison sloppy joe has taken it's place, at least in our house. This easy venison recipe you are about to see isn't the way we make our sloppy joes, but maybe it should be!
Give this recipe a look and see what you think. Will this recipe replace the classic sloppy joe in your house? Maybe it should if you have some ground venison on hand and ready to cook.
As see on the Simple Living Mom's YouTube page description for this video, the ingredients are listed below.
Venison Sloppy Joe
- 1 pound ground venison
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Pinch paprika
- 1 Tsp mustard
- 3/4 cup Ketchup
- 3 Tsp Brown Sugar
- Salt and Pepper to taste
As you saw in the video, following those steps is pretty easy. However, this is just one way to make a venison sloppy joe. Part of what makes cooking wild game so fun is the ability to make it your own. We have no doubt this recipe is pretty amazing, but adding in your own touches can make it that much better.
