Homeowner Subdues Alleged Burglars by Gun and … Snaps a Photo?

There are times you want a gun and times you want a cellphone to snap a photo.

A Chino Hills, Calif., husband and father decided to have both at the same time last week.

Yan Zhang was home with his wife and children when the alleged robbery attempt took place.

Neighbors say a group of kids got on a balcony and tried to pry open the back door. That's when Zhang grabbed his handgun.

Three of the suspects hit the deck. He held them at gunpoint until police arrived. A neighbor made the 911 call. The other two were able to run off, but police say they caught up with them.

Oh, Zhang didn't just grab his gun. He had his cellphone, too, and snapped a photo of the suspects eating dirt.

Seems the photo has already made the rounds on Chinese social media.

Four of the suspects were over 18 and were booked. The fifth was a minor, who was cited and released to his parents.

And Yan Zhang and his family are home, safe and sound.
