Here's How to Give Veterans Day More Attention Than It Currently Has

It's tough to argue against the fact that Veterans Day deserves far more attention than it gets.

To get perspective, the term "#Halloween" has been used over 48.3 million times on Instagram. "#VeteransDay" has only been used 1.2 million. There's something admittedly wrong with that.

In an effort to help change things, Rip It Energy Fuel is gathering the best military and service-based videos and social media posts, and trying for a much higher number this year with some added incentive.

They want your best Rip It story from your time spent in the military, and they don't mind if it's a video clip, a written out story, an engaging photo, or piece of art, they want to see it. Be sure to post it as a video and use "#20KonVetsDay" to help build up the awareness.

On Veterans Day, if your video clip gets the most engagement, you will win a year's supply of Rip It and a $10,000 donation on your behalf to your veteran charity of choice.

For the next top five videos engaged with after that, Rip It will donate $2,000 to go toward the choice of charity selected from the approved six charities. To find out who you can choose from, go here.

All you have to do to enter is submit a video clip of your story (keep it PG) to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Then, tag your story with #20KonVetsDay & #entry, and comment or tag your choice of charity from the options on their website.

Rip It is giving us a good way to rally together, combine every positive moment, and collectively make this Veterans Day one to remember.
