Gear Review: Iunio Universal Gun Cleaning Kit

It's time to break out the gun cleaning kit and I think I've found a pretty great one from Iunio.

Cleaning guns can sometimes be a chore, especially with all those hard-to-reach crevices. However, gun care is important; if you don't know that, you've probably got dirty, less-than-perfect guns. That's not my problem, it's yours.

The Iunio Premium Gun Cleaning Kit can help turn things around for you, or serve an educated gun caregiver equally as well as their new favorite.

It's fully equipped with cleaning tools for every type of gun in all calibers. If you've owned it, this'll clean it. It comes with brass rods for pistols, shotguns, muzzleloaders, and rifles. Additionally, the gun cleaning kit comes with nine mops, 14 bronze brushes, and three utility brushes to get every ounce of grime, dirt, or powder out of the gun barrel.

The Universal Kit contains everything you need to properly clean and care for anything in your safe or gun case.

The six brass rods will work on any shotgun, handgun, muzzleloader, or rifle. Three of the cleaning rods are for .17-.270 caliber rifles and pistols. Basically this includes your air rifles, small rim fire rifles and pistols.

The other three brass rods are for .30 caliber and larger rifles, pistols, shotguns, and muzzleloaders. The three utility brushes that are steel, bronze, and plastic wire. Be careful using the steel brush, as it can scratch and damage certain barrels and other parts of your firearm.

The bottom section the kit contains three muzzle guards, which are important for not scratching or damaging your bore. It also contains 13 spear-pointed jags for different bores, four brass slotted patch loops, three adapters, four polishing cloths, and one hundred gun cleaning patches.

Additionally, there are nine mops and 14 bronze brushes that are labeled by caliber from 12 gauge shotguns to .17 rifles, so you don't have to guess which one fits best. The phosphor bronze cleaning brushes are sturdy and durable.

Finally, there are two different reusable bottles for Hoppe's gun oil, Hoppe's No. 9 gun bore cleaner, or whichever gun cleaner you prefer.

The Universal Gun Cleaning Kit is great because everything fits together perfectly in its own spot, and there is no need to buy different pieces (or full kits, for that matter) for your handgun or shotguns. Everything is right there for you.

Most of the pieces are brass, making them plenty durable and less likely to break off inside a gun barrel.

This kit even comes with a cleaning pad, something I really appreciated. You can take it to the range, and if there is an area for field cleaning, you've got your own space-making pad. If all you've got is a patch of gravel or grass, you've still got a pad sturdy enough to do the job. I'd say it's the complete cleaning system, but I guess that's just because I've never seen one more jam-packed with useful stuff!

You shouldn't need me to tell you, but make sure a gun is unloaded before you ever begin to clean it. Be smart while taking care of your guns, and be confident you're helping them last as long as they're intended to.
