Find a Shark in the Pool? Just Chuck it in the Ocean Like This Woman

This lady rescued a stranded Port Jackson shark by picking it up and throwing it back into the ocean.

Melissa Hatheier has received some newfound fame for wrangling a Port Jackson shark from a tidal pool near the suburb of Cronulla.

The real estate agent from the Sydney got a call from her mother about the trapped sea creature, so she sprang into action by... swimming into the pond and rescuing it!

The video shows her calmly plunking it over a rock wall and back into the sea:

"So I came down, there was a bit of a crew here, and had a look and he was a little Port Jackson and was doing laps of the pool," Hatheier said. "I jumped in and I thought, 'I reckon I can probably get him out.' And mum called 000, so the police came down as well."

Congratulations to one intrepid woman for saving a stressed-out shark that probably would have died!
