What's the one thing every hunter should have, but not nearly enough do?
There are endless lists (on this site and elsewhere) filling you in on the kind of hunting gear that makes the most sense.
Everyone has their preferences and opinions, but Ryan Gill, an experienced primitive archer, bow maker, and hunter, made one really good point that was worth spreading far and wide.
People don't know it, but moccasins can and do make a huge difference. If you're stalking a deer or a hog, stealth is key. There's no better silent pair of footwear than some good moccasins.
