Dog Takes Bored Angler for a Ride Through the Living Room

When the weather's bad and you have to stay in, you can always let your dog pull some drag.

It's that time of year again when we're all starting to feel that itch to throw a line out in the water. The sun's starting to shine a little brighter, the jackets are about ready to come off and the rivers and lakes are calling our names.

However, because we're not quite there yet, this is the toughest part of the whole year. Not only do we have to wait, but all our gear ready to go, just sitting there taunting us.

Fortunately, though, this clever guy figured out a way to pass that time while also getting the fix you need to make it through.

Instead of just throwing a line with a weight out in his yard or his kitchen, he decided to see how much of a fight his dog would put up.

Watch the video below:

Did you have the sound on? That dog had his drag screaming!

It's hard to tell since the footage is a little blurry, but it looks like he has a Boston terrier on the other end of his line.

This actually doubles as multipurpose technique, too, as you could do this solely to wear out a rambunctious dog. You've seen how quickly a fish will exhaust itself trying to fight against perfectly set drag; how long do you think a dog could hold up for?

Plus, this trick doesn't have to just apply to the offseason blues. You could also do this with your pup on the days the weather is against you and you have to stay in.
