Did We Really Need to Do This to a Perfectly Good Car?

In this insane clip, watch a group of four skydivers launch themselves off of a plane in a car.

Free falling above the Arizona desert, the car steadily rocked back and forth until around the 9,000-foot mark, where it begins whipping violently in circles, just in time for the four buddies to launch themselves off.

The vehicle required extensive bodywork before its descent into hell. It was torn down, with its transmission, engine, and fuel tank broken out with reinforced frames to make it aerodynamic. Even its sharp edges were covered extensively with industrial grade tape to prevent injury during free fall.

Now, wouldn't it have made more sense for them to be strapped in with seatbelts, unbuckling at the last second?
