Check Out This Night Hog Hunt with a 6.5 Creedmoor in Texas

Ever been on a hog hunt with a 6.5 Creedmoor?

Though it's a relatively small, light-recoiling cartridge, there's absolutely no reason why you can't go hog hunting with the 6.5 Creedmoor. Hunters have been using that cartridge for hunting deer and elk for years. If you have a modern sporting rifle with a thermal scope on it like this guy did, you have a great rifle for some serious after-hours hog control

This hunter decided to help a local farmer in Texas who started capturing trail camera photos of a particular boar feeding in the same spot each night.

That's a nice-looking hog! He looked a whole lot bigger in real life than he did in the trail camera photos or through the thermal scope. I'm pretty familiar with ground shrinkage, but I don't have much experience with animals that actually look bigger when you walk up on them.

That was an interesting mix of 6.5 Creedmoor ammo that he was using, but it clearly did the job on this hog.
