Big Agnes Announces backpack line due for spring 2022.
When it comes to sustainably made, quality camping gear, Big Agnes is quickly becoming one of our favorite brands. The Steamboat Springs, Colorado-based company has just announced a fresh new line of technical backpacks set to release in Spring 2022.
From a quick look, we feel these are sure to get the attention of hikers and campers looking for gear that can withstand the elements of nature and is also environmentally friendly.
We have the latest information on these new packs, which will include a variety of sizes for multi-day camping adventures in the backcountry.
In total, Big Agnes is introducing six new backpacks. They have included everything from a 20-liter size perfect for a short, day trip to the top of a small mountain to a giant 63-liter pack perfect for a multi-day adventure in the wilderness. As always, their products are being built with environmental principles in mind. These packs will use 100% recycled nylon fabric materials. More specifically, a high-tenacity, recycled Mipan regen robic nylon with a solution-dyed ripstop grid.
"Our new pack line leverages over two decades of product design and development experience," Big Agnes President and co-founder Bill Gambler said in a press release. "The market is full of some impressive products but we're bringing fresh new ideas and a commitment to recycled fabrics to the category. As a brand, we're excited to finally have backpacks to compliment and carry all our award-winning gear."
Female hikers will also be pleased to learn Big Agnes is offering models specifically designed to fit women. Designed by women for women.
In total, Big Agnes has announced six packs, which are as follows from their press release:
- Prospector 50 liter and Women's Sun Dog 45 liter -ultralight backpacking packs designed for shorter-duration overnight pursuits
- Parkview 63 liter and Women's Garnet 60 liter - light weight backpacking packs designed for extended backpacking excursions, featuring custom-injection molded frame sheets anatomically engineered to fit the body and maximize torsional stability
- Impassable 20 liter - A top-loading daypack with an internal laptop/hydration sleeve and compartmentalized storage, perfect for day hikes and everyday travel
- Ditch Rider 32 liter - A minimalist, roll-top daypack with an internal laptop/hydration sleeve, designed for versatility on and off the trail, streamlined for all-day comfort
Big Agnes says these packs will feature hydration bladder sleeves, daisy chain webbing, a hoist compression system, and a Load Wrangler+ suspension system to help keep the contents of your pack perfectly balanced during a long day on the trail.
Keeping in line with the company's sustainability and environmental goals, they are also introducing the Big Agnes Trash Can, a 7-liter accessory that will be offered standard with the 45 and 63-liter sized packs. This trash can is made from the same material as the packs and Big Agnes hopes it will encourage others to pick up litter they pass during their outdoor adventures.
"Our Trash Can has one purpose - to clean up our public lands and give back to a global organization that's working to help make it happen," Gamber said in a press release. "We wanted to provide an easy way to collect the large and small garbage that's littered along trails, rivers and in campgrounds. Through some post work product testing, our employees determined that the Trash Can holds at least 36 crushed aluminum cans."
We love the idea behind that part. The company is working with Leave No Trace on an anti-litter campaign to go along with the release of the packs. These six packs are set to be released in Spring 2022. Visit the Big Agnes Website for more information on them and the company's other camping products.
